Archibald Douglas McCauley.

Archibald was a schoolteacher from Pompapiel when he enlisted to serve in World War One.

After serving on the Western Front from 1916 to the conclusion of the war, Archibald was granted leave so he could teach in England during 1919.

He later returned home to Australia.
